Privacy Policy
Effective date: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}
Arden is published by Cretova LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). We are the controller of any personal data described here. This policy covers the Arden iPhone app and this website (ardenhealth.app).
1. What data Arden handles
Everything below is entered by you (or, for Apple Health, brought in with your permission) and is stored on your device:
- Your protocols: compounds, doses, units, schedules, vial and cycle details.
- Dose logs, injection sites and side effects you select.
- Lab results you type in, with the units and ranges from your own report.
- Weight and waist measurements, and progress photos you add.
- Your onboarding answers (for example your goal), your settings, and when you agreed to the consent screen.
We do not receive any of this. It is processed on your device to run the features you use.
2. Where it is stored
- Text data is stored in a SQLite database inside the app on your iPhone.
- Progress photos are copied into the app's own documents folder. Arden does not save them to your camera roll or Photos library.
- A small summary of your next doses is shared with Arden's Home Screen widget through an on-device App Group. It never leaves your device. If Face ID lock is on, the summary leaves out compound names.
- Device backups. If you back up your iPhone (for example to iCloud or a computer), iOS may include Arden's data and photos in that backup. That backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
3. Permissions you can grant
| Permission | What it does |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Local reminders scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent from a server. Reminder text can include the compound name and dose, so it may appear on your lock screen. |
| Camera / photo picker | Only to add a progress photo that you choose or take. |
| Face ID | Optional app lock, handled by iOS. Arden only receives a yes or no from the system and never sees your face data or biometrics. |
| Apple Health | Optional. See the next section. |
4. Apple Health
If you turn it on, Arden asks to read and write body mass (weight) and waist circumference only. Arden uses this to show your measurements in one place and to save the measurements you enter to Health. We do not use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with anyone. It stays on your device. Edits or deletions you make in Arden also remove the sample Arden wrote. You can change access at any time in the iOS Settings app (Health) or in Arden's Settings.
"Delete all my data" does not remove samples that are already in Apple Health. You can delete those in the Health app.
5. Purchases and RevenueCat
Subscriptions are sold by Apple. We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to check and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt information from Apple. It does not receive your protocols, doses, labs, photos or Health data. We use this only to unlock Arden, restore purchases and keep subscription records. We never see your payment card details; Apple handles payment. RevenueCat's own practices are described in its privacy policy.
6. No tracking
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no advertising SDKs.
- No selling your data, and no sharing it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
This website does not use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and operation.
7. Exporting your data
You can create a PDF report or a CSV file from Settings. The file is created on your device and opens in the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. Once you share it with another app or person, that recipient's policies apply.
8. Retention and deletion
- Data in the app stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual items, or use Settings > Delete all my data. That erases your protocols, doses, labs, weight and progress photos from the device, cancels reminders and clears the widget.
- Deleting the app also removes its data from the device. Existing device backups are not changed.
- "Delete all my data" does not delete Apple Health samples or your App Store subscription. Cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
- Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are kept for as long as needed to provide purchases and meet legal and accounting obligations.
9. Security
Your data stays on your device, which reduces exposure. The app's database is protected by the iOS app sandbox and your device's own protections (passcode and iOS data protection), and you can add Face ID lock. We do not add a separate encryption layer to the app's database. Anyone with access to your unlocked device, or to an unencrypted backup, may be able to see your data. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your device updated and locked.
10. Children
Arden is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly provide it to anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using Arden, contact us at support@ardenhealth.app.
11. Your rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
- Data on your device: we do not hold it, so you exercise these rights directly in the app: view and edit entries, export to PDF or CSV, and delete. Withdraw Apple Health or notification access in iOS Settings.
- Purchase data: email support@ardenhealth.app and we will help with requests about the anonymous app user ID and purchase records.
Our legal bases: performing our contract with you (providing the app and subscription), your consent (Apple Health, notifications, camera, photos, and the health-related data you choose to store), and our legitimate interests and legal obligations (subscription records, fraud prevention, accounting).
12. Your rights (California and other US states)
If you live in California (CCPA/CPRA) or another US state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit use of sensitive information. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
- Categories we receive: identifiers (anonymous app user ID) and commercial information (purchase and subscription records) through Apple and RevenueCat.
- Health and other sensitive information you enter stays on your device. We do not collect it, and we use it for no purpose beyond running the app on your device.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
To make a request, email support@ardenhealth.app. We may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request for you. Washington, Nevada and Connecticut residents should also read our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
13. International users
We are based in the United States. Arden's data stays on your device wherever you are. Purchase data processed by Apple and RevenueCat may be handled in the United States or other countries where they operate. Where the law requires, those transfers rely on approved safeguards.
14. Possible future features
We may one day offer an optional cloud backup. It is not available now. If we add it, it will be opt-in and we will update this policy before it launches.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by another suitable means.
